i'm gonna love life 'till i'm done growing up

11:31

There's a little over half of my summer holidays that has passed by, and I'm feeling suprisingly satisfied with the lingering placidity in the atmosphere. I'm sure this has to do with the quietness of the streets due to the ever-unpredictable and less than summery Irish weather. I'm patiently waiting for my fast-approaching trip to the States, and I'm trying to keep myself preoccupied in the most productive sense. To me, the only befitting way to do this is by casually checking off my summer to-do list. This list consists of a few things, and was half mentioned in my last post

Apart from my approaching trip, one major thing that I was determined to accomplish this summer was to meet Elizabeth of Fashion is My First Language. This was my second time meeting Elizabeth, after an unplanned and very brief encounter at a play in March. We met up at a nearby beach village yesterday. Our day consisted of hot chocolate and brownies at a quaint little cafe overlooking the beach, strolling down the beach until we found a little secluded area where we chatted and chatted until our heart's content, ice cream on the Main Street along the beach, and of course the alot-less-awkward-than-anticipated photog sesh.

I don't think there's is enough known adjectives to describe how utterly ~magical~ yesterday was! I was initially nervous just in case I was a lot less cool irl than I am on the interweb, but the day was so perfect. We talked about everything from feminism, Tavi, and Rookie to boys, school, and Wes Anderson. There was honestly never a dull or awkward moment! It was one of those real idealistic days, you know, one of those days one dreams of.

All photo creds goes to Elizabeth for the beautiful pictures of me!

On another note, the next time I post will most probably be when I'm in the States in a week, in which I hope to post a little more frequently to avoid condensing 5 weeks worth of antics into one master master post. Until then, goodbye from this side of the Atlantic.
