this time i'm gonna try not to disappear | summer two zero fourteen

Hello blog. Long time right? Sorry about that completely unplanned hiatus, it just sorta happened, but I'm back now. I feel like I've got my mojo back. [sighs in relief] It's all good vibes for me right now. Summer is over [lone tear rolls down left cheek] and school's started back [welp]. 3 months until I'm 16 and the fat man in red comes around. 2ish months until the next school holidays aka Halloween Break, and I'm finally (hopefully) getting a laptop! No more back breaking 19th century desktop. [eventually] I'll be able to blog from my own room !! on my own bed !! |I'm hoping the quality of my posts will improve when I'm under my covers? So many new things are happening (and are about to happen to me) which is super exciting! Anyways, how were you guys' summers?

Summer this year was weirdly nice. If you read my last post, you would've seen my plans and stuff for summer. I honestly didn't do half the stuff on the list but in a way I feel like I completed the list? It's sort of indescribable. I'd characterize it as being a lot of the weird teenage experiences most people my age have lived through already, but mine sort of got jumbled up into 2 and a half months. Boys, new friends, drama, learning and growing, and everything else that typically falls into the "teenage experience". It was nice. I learned more about the world around me, issues in the world (feminism/equality, racism/acceptance and self-love), art, style, etc. I discovered a ton of new music. I read Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov, which was my favourite read in such a long time. I realized how inspired I am by young females in our generation and now I feel really inspired to do or start something major. There were first and lasts, happy and sad experiences, and good and bad days, but it was still a pretty neat summer.

The start of summer was real exciting, the middle was quite mediocre, and the end was amazing as it was spent solely with my family travelling to different beaches and towns and exploring the beauty that so happens to be just on my doorstep. These are a few photographs from the "end" of summer. There are photos from the start are on my disposable which is yet to be developed. As soon as I get them developed [crossing fingers that they're decent] I will share them with you guys.
