give me one good reason why I should never make a change

Dear...,
Hi. How are you this fine day? Today I felt inspired to dress sort of festively as the only thing that has been on my mind this whole weekend is Coachella music festival. I'm very very very sad that I'm not in listening to my favourite bands, in my nicest festival outfits and makeup, while basking in the heat of the sun, with my closest friends. All my favourite artists/bands performed there this weekend. Bastille, Haim, Lorde, Beyoncé and Solange and so much more. It would have been amazing to see them all live at the one time! Attending Coachella is on my bucket list for definite, I don't think I can die happy until this has been completed. This will happen when a leprechaun on a unicorn gallops out from behind the end of the rainbow and hands me a pot of $$$.

Wearing:
kimono type thing - my mother's closet
black top - primark/penneys
necklace - primark/penneys
high-waisted jeans - primark/pennneys
shoes - white converse

I tamed my hair after 1 week of that afro type bush.

Anyways, as Easter holidays has officially begun, I hope to see The Grand Budapest Hotel with my friends. Have you seen it? What did you think? I'm hoping that my friends will get the aesthetic of the movie, or will at least enjoy it. I might have a Wes Anderson movie marathon when I get back. Which Wes Anderson movies do you recommend I see first? Which are your favourites? I'm asking way to many questions, but I'm just really excited to see this movie cause so many people have been talking about it!

I'm now going to stuff my face with junk, while making puppy like sobbing noises and re-watching Haim's super incredibly rad Coachella performance.

Your friend who's super sad cause she's not at Coachella,

George Ezra

I should probably give my friend credit for introducing me to George Ezra. So thank you Georgia, for because of your pestering, I have fallen in love with this 20 year old's beautifully rustic and mature vocals. I'm in love with his sort of folk indie sound and his catchy and quite genius lyrics. You should definitely give him a listen and tell me what you think. Do you like his mature vocals?

  1. Ah, Coachella! I'm also super sad not to be joining in on the fun. All the artists I wanted to see are only performing in the US this year. But great post! At least we can dress up to feel like we're there! :) xx

  3. WES ANDERSON is seriously a god, and you're going to adore Grand Budapest Hotel. If you're going to have a marathon, I extremely suggest you watch it in order of when he made them (it's so fascinating to see him develop and change) so you could start with Bottle Rocket (awesome movie, such good quotes, I use them all the time in my journal haha) and continue on with Rushmore and so one. I've seen all his movies several times, cause I'm an obsessive weirdo, but that is always my favourite way to watch them. My favourite movies of his are Moonrise Kingdom, The Royal tenenbaums and Grand Budapest Hotel (in so specific order) but I seriously seriously adore all of them. Okay, sorry for rambling, I just love him and his movies so much haah. (also your outfit is freaking fab, that kimono is perfection.)

    1. I kinda knew I was going to get a comment from you about this! Hahaha! Being an "obsessive weirdo" is totally cool, I prefer "obsessive weirdos" over normal people! I'm really excited to watch some of his movies, as I haven't watched a lot, if any, of his movies! And thank you! x

  4. Okay, okay first of all you look perfect in this post, that kimono is stunning! Second of all WES ANDERSON!!! Agghh you are totally going to love the Grand Budapest Hotel! My personal favorite films of his are the Royal Tenenbaums and Moonrise Kingdom, so if you decide to trust my judgement (maybe you should, maybe you shouldn't haha) then start with one of those. Anyway, wow this was a really random comment, I'm sorry if it's slightly incoherent :)

    1. Thank you and omg I'm really excited to see the Grand Budapest Hotel!! It looks so good! Wes Anderson films look so perfect, and I'm not at all a film person, but I'm definitely going to dedicate a day to his! I'm definitely going to trust your judgement and watch the Royal Tenenbaums and Moonrise Kingdom first cause those are the one's that seem to be recommended the most! x

  5. This is such a great outfit! Uhh I wish i was at Coachella too! It must happen before i reach the heavens. I haven't seen The Grand Budapest Hotel yet but i seriously need to! You should watch Rushmore first (Jason Schwartman is such a cutie) or The Royal Tenenbaums. George Ezra has such a nice deep voice!

    1. Thank you! I'm so bummed I'm not at coachella right now it's not even funny. I hadn't heard of Rushmore, but I'm writing it onto my list of 'Wes Anderson films that I need to watch because they've been recommended by pretty fabulous people' list as we speak. George Ezra's voice is my fave.

  8. I literally had to put my lapttop to my chest when I reached the Coachella Solange/Beyonce/HAIM part. The tears I've shed over not being able to be there and the carbs I've invested in as well. Then I managed to gain the strength to read the rest, through a few more tears, and I'm oozing green because I want to see The Grand Budapest Hotel but my friends (what friends) won't go/I hate cinemas.
Bootleg it for me. Please and thank you.

    1. I don't think I've ever been so sad I'm not attending something in my life like wow why aren't I there. Well actually there are a number of logical reasons that I'm not there, but logic sucks so I'm going to ignore them and continue crying. I'm beyond excited to see this move and I've left my friends virtually no choice but to go with me. Hey, it's times like those that I'm thankful for the creation of online tv/movies. x
